One textile industry, different material routes
Fiber, yarn and fabric describe different stages and forms of textile material. A staple fiber is supplied in cut lengths. A filament is continuous. Yarn provides a form that can be used in fabric construction, while a nonwoven can be formed from a fiber web without first producing a conventional woven fabric.
Why texturing appears in the chain
